"CHANAKYA TODAY brings together all the three works Chanakya or Kautilya is associated with, viz., Kautilya Arthashastra, Chanakya Niti and Chanakya Sutra.
A middle-aged Brahmana scholar of 2300 years ago, Chanakya literally `made history' by deposing the reigning king of central India and putting on it an youth, Chandragupta, whom he had groomed for the purpose. He taught Chandragupta how to oust the invading Greeks and build up the Mauryan Empire. He then resigned his post as Chandragupta's minister and penned down his proven principles of political economy and civil society.
This book presents those principles in a simple, readable way. Chanakya speaks to us here in this book in his own voice. We get to reach him directly, without too much of interpretation and explanation.
Ever-relevant, what does the eminent statesman and scholar say?
What message does he carry for the janapadas or habitations of today?
What can the vijigeeshu or aspirant-conqueror, businessman and statesman learn from Chanakya?
